This new chondrite fall from Bassikounou, Mauritania in W. Africa. Fell 4am Oct 16th 2006. Two hundred kilos recovered. A very remote area of Sahel desert near Mali. Check out the "38" size iron slug stuck into/out of the stone.Fresh black fusion crust covers both,with flow lines on the "bullet"!
